About
Sarah is a mixed media artist living and working in Abergavenny.
Ever since she was a small child drawing stick men on the wallpaper beside her bed Sarah has loved painting and drawing.
She has a foundation diploma in Art and Design from Hereford College of Art and also works part time in the NHS.
She has worked in emergency and urgent care for over 40 years and finds that making art is essential for her well being.
Sarah uses a variety of media in her work – often combining different materials to achieve an interesting and unexpected outcome.
She takes inspiration from a variety of sources, whether she is recording her travels in simple sketchbooks or painting the landscapes of Monmouthshire.
The process of creating is more important than the outcome.
